Pat - You and Vic hired me as a bookkeeper back in 1984, and worked for you for 1 1/2 years. You had given me the "best" reference a girl could ever have, when I left. I have worked for Saratoga County for 23 years, and am ready to retire next month. I have thought of you two often, especially when I'm in Schenectady. I am soooo sorry for your loss. The picture of Vic took my breath away. It was exactly like I remember him. I hope you are doing as well as can be expected. I would love to talk to you again. Please take care of yourself. Dear Pat and Family: We often speak of the good old days of scouting with Vic. Your family introduced Dan to some wonderful trips; he learned valuable lessons from his association with you. Judging by the sound of things, I think Vic's passing was a release for him, and for the rest of you as well. Thank goodness for the family, friends, and happy memories of good times spent together before this happened. We wish you peace of mind, and send our deepest sympathy. Joan and Pete.

To the Mion Family - I can't express how saddened I am about Vic's passing. I met Vic through my work about 6 years ago and detecting an accent he asked me where I was from. To my utter surprise he had not only heard of the Mediterranean Island of Malta, but had been there and he even came back a few days later with pictures. Mrs. Mion I know you and Vic traveled extensively and he always talked about your next trip when he came to the office to pick up drawings. I will miss him and please know that you are in my prayers.

I am extremely saddened to hear of Vic's passing. I began engaging in projects with Vic quite some time ago. His integrity is something that I've never forgotton as the years have past. In the times that we live in today, he was one of the few people that I could always count on, where his handshake meant a commitment. I was privileged to know Vic, and will always reflect fondly of the values he brought to any arena. My condolences to all of the family. He surely will be missed.

Though I knew it was coming, I was deeply saddened to read of Vic's passing in this morning's paper. He was a respected leader in everything he was ever involved in, highly ethical in all of his dealings with others and great company. He did much for many. A good man gone too soon. Please accept my condolences.

I was so sad to read about your dad in today's Gazette. A girl friend and I have been talking lately about the old Niskayuna days and all the crazy friends. What our parents had to put up with! Your dad's photo is great, Pat, you look so much alike! Please take care of yourselves while knowing we are thinking of you all. Lori Lupe Pelish

My deepest sympathy to all of the Mion family. I know all to well the pain of losing a beloved spouse or parent. I never had the gift of claiming Vic as a friend. But I felt as if I knew him through my favorite in laws, Mary Liz and Bill Leitch. I remember enjoying a day of boating with him some forty years ago. His warmth, sincerity and enthusiasm for life were infectious. Over the years he was the same wonderful person whenever we had the pleasure reacquainting at holiday parties. It would seem that he left you all a rich and wonderful legacy filled with many memories for the years ahead.

Vic has been, and will always be, a role model for me in business. Years ago, as a young man in the tile industry, I learned from my interactions with Vic, that in addition to committment, one could be genuine, sincere and respectfull of others and still achieve great success. He inspired many to take the high road and I know this will be part of his legacy. I did not know him as a close friend, husband or father but those of you that did must be extremely fortunate. My thoughts are with you all today and of a man that touched many of us in a profound way.

I was so sorry to hear about Mr. Mion. I have so many fond memories of our family gatherings. He was such a warm and funny person who always put a smile on everyone's face. I know a small part of what you faced as you know, my father passed away from ALS in 2000. Mrs. Mion, my mother has told me often about your journey with his illness, and I am in awe of your strength. Please know I will pray for you peace of heart and spirit with this loss. Even though I have not seen him in over 20 years I will still miss him. Love, Mary
