I was deeply saddened to hear of Dick's death. He was one of the finest men I know in my working career with GE. I first met Dick in 1978 when I transfered to the GE Durham, NC plant to set up the facility to manufacture HRSG's. I have many fond memories of our trips to Japan and Korea working on HRSG Projects. I know, as I will, many people that worked with him will miss him and his easy going manor. No matter what the situation he always had a smile on his face and something positive to say. Dick, his wife Rose and his son's Rick and Rob will be in my prayers.

I am very saddened about Dick’s passing.. He was the first one who gave me a hand when I came to GE 22 years ago. We worked very close and had a great moments together. He was my ‘tutor’ in HRSG and in combined cycle business. My sympathy, thoughts and prayers to his family.

Dick was one of the first people I worked with when I came to GE. He was always approachable and eager to help a young guy. He had a deep understanding of HRSGs and was able to explain these in a way that made it easy to understand and learn. I owe him a lot.

I was so saddened to learn of Dick's passing. We worked together for more than 20 years and, like many others, I relied greatly on his world class knowledge and experience. Dick coupled his expertise with an easy going, friendly manner that made him extremely approachable and a pleasure to work with. We shared some travel memories that always make me smile. My thoughts and prayers to his family. All of us who knew him share your sorrow. Matt Grumo

I am very deeply saddened by the loss of Dick. In my 41 years of work there were only two bosses that I admired and Dick was one of them. He was an extremely talented techical leader and a skilled people manager - a combination that is not found much today. Above all he always operated with the highest level of integrity in everything he did. His mentoring and friendship had a profound positive effect on my life - more than he ever realized. My memories of Dick will always be with me.

It was a sad morning for me as I heard about Dick's passing. Whether it was playing cards at lunch or consulting with him on technical issues I always enjoyed and benefited from Dick's company. He was a co-worker and a friend. My condolences to the family in this difficult time.

Dick was a great guy! He was friendly to all--a real gentleman. I worked closely with Dick for many years, even after we were both retired and working as pensioners. We were good friends and looked forward to getting together and chatting.

Rich, my sympathies to you and your family at this difficult time. As you know I've had the pleasure of working with your dad in prior assignments at GE. He was always a well respected engineer and I enjoyed working with him. We'll all miss his expert opinions and guidance.
