Please know that I will greatly miss our songs in the hall.I met Betty the day she moved in to Maplewood. She was a very special soul who made a profound impact on me. Thank you for sharing her with us.

Despite the fact that we had lost touch after her retirement in 1985 and my graduation in 1987, Betty was never far from my thoughts. She was without a doubt one of the nicest people that I have ever encountered in my life. Her door was always open, she was always there when you needed an ear, an unbiased opionion, or just a hug. I can't begin to recall the numerous hours that I spent just sitting and talking to her about everything and nothing. She was a WONDERFUL person who had a great impact not only my life, but many others as well.

I was saddened to hear of Betty's passing. I was a member of the Niskayuna High School Video Crew from 1980 - 1984. It was always a pleasure to see Betty there in the "video room" every morning and during the day. She let us keep our books there and often spend our free periods there and talk with her. She was a kind and caring person. But also made sure we didn't take advantage of the privilege we had working there. Although I lost touch with her after graduation, I have often thought about her.
