Bill always opened his heart and his home to all who needed comfort, help or just a friendly relaxing place to have some laughs and feel welcome. He was one of the most gentle and kind men I've ever known and I will forever have fond memories of all the moments I had the pleasure of spending with him. The best testament to Bill's ability to nurture and a legacy to his kind life is the wonderful and loving family of children, grand children and great grand children he leaves behind. There aren't many families who've been through as much strife and difficult times as his terrific loving family. And they remain supportive, loyal and compassionate to all who know them. I'm saddened at Bill's passing. But I'm proud and happy to have lived in his presence and to be an extended part of his family.

A finer man has never lived on this Earth. Bill will always be remembered as kind, caring, friendly, helpful, supportive and loving. He lived life like everyone should ... to the fullest! To see him still bowling in his later 80's and all excited watching his grands and great-grands bowling, offering his fierce spirit and advice ... it was a beautiful thing! He had such great pride of his family ... always wanting to be there for every MS Walk, birthdays, any family celebration imaginable. I will always recall Bill in these ways, with a smile on my face. May he rest in eternal peace, reunited with those whom he loved so dearly that left before him. Our heartfelt condolences to you all. ~Sharon & John Aitchison
