Dear Kathleen Hall and Family I know firsthand how much it pains to the core when a parent dies. People like to say words that are comforting, and that their thoughts and prayers are with you and so on. But grief is a personal struggle that you much endure as you deal with the loss of someone you love… As you know I never met your father, but in some ways, I feel like I did. In your conversations about him, the interesting anecdotes of his daily life, the funny nuances in your voice as you spoke about him and how your eyes would be lit up just so that I knew how firmly you had placed him your family setting. He was the glue that held you together. No doubt you’ve had and will continue to receive many sympathetic messages and I can only hope that they will in some way ease the burden surrounding you now. I am saying to you stay grounded in your family, do not let death destroy your comfort. Times passes. Memory will always warm your insides and life will always call us to live. Hold dearly to those you cherish, and every now and then when the nights are dark, look up to the skies and at the stars and ask dad... Which one are yours now?
