I am happy I was able to meet the brother of my grandpa as a man and have a beer with him before he went to heaven. I am proud to hold the MacMillan name and to be a part of such a great family. We are a good family and we are blessed to have so many of us who are in or was in emergency services. We help people just as William did throughout his life. I am sad also that I will not be able to see his flesh again but look forward to the reunion in heaven. I hope every family member and friend can find peace with his passing. Remember he is in a better place than all of us. God bless everyone and thank you for posting so many good memories.

I first met Bill when he was just 14. All arms & legs and just a promise of the man he would become. We didn't see much of each other; but, was often thought of. So glad he touched so many people in such a good way. Bless you Bill.

In life good things are missed. Not being around him much in life was a honor I missed out on. Never again being able to look in eyes and hold and feel my dads presents in him will forever be gone. Thank you God for the time you did give me. Take care of him and all the MacMIllan Family he will now join. P.S. God hope you are ready for this reunion. Forever in our hearts.

I wish I could bring Mom there to see you Uncle Bill and to be there during this time. She doesn't feel right being the only one of the kids left.. I know it wasn't much time spent but when Mom and I were up there for Aunt Marlene I so enjoyed getting to know y'all (had to throw that in being from Tennessee and all !!) we do love you and take comfort that you are in the presence of Jesus. God Bless our Yankee family! We love y'all.. please tell my dad i miss him...

We are so sorry for your loss. Mark and I both felt like Mac was a friend and know he will be missed dearly. He always had a smile on his face that was contagious, and if it wasn't he always had a joke to get you to laugh. He was such a large part of the fire department and it appeared as if it was his home away from home. We are very grateful for all of his service to both the community and the country.
