Niskayuna-Virginia F. (“Ginny”)Taft of Niskayuna, New York died peacefully at her home on April 26, 2018 at the age of 92. 
 
Adored wife of the late Ernest A. Taft, Jr.; beloved mother of Claudia Taft (husband Donald Tobias), Marcia Gorodko (late husband Stuart Gorodko), Jeannine Taft, Lawrence Taft (wife Judie), Michael Taft, Amy Taft, and Joel Taft; cherished sister of Edward Flouton (Ethel), Brian Flouton (wife MaryAnne), and Sandra DeLollo (husband Robert DeLollo); devoted grandmother to Samuel Taft, Aubrey Huestis (husband Justin Huestis), Nora Taft, Ashton Taft and Alyssa Taft; and dear friend of the late Donald Sofia. 
 
A lifelong and ardent supporter of Schenectady, longtime volunteer at Ellis Hospital and faithful congregant of St. Kateri, her indomitable spirit and courage will be remembered by all who knew her long after she is gone. 
 
Visitation on Monday April 30th from 5pm to 7pm at the Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St. A Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday at 9am at St. Kateri 2216 Rosa Rd. Interment following at Memory Garden's, Colonie. 
 
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Notheastern Association of the Blind at Albany.
