Obituary of Teresa Kennedy

Niskayuna-Teresa Kennedy 96, of Niskayuna, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday April 26, 2018.
Teresa was born Sept. 1, 1921 in Philadelphia, PA, a daughter to the late John and Mary DiFulvio Ciletti.

She graduated from South Philadelphia High School. During WW II she worked for the U.S. Army Signal Corps. Teresa has lived in Schenectady since 1958. She was a longtime communicant of St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish; a Life member of the Alliance to the Schenectady County Medical Society; Past President and Lifetime Member of the Caduceus Garden Club: and a Pink Lady volunteer at the information desk at Ellis Hospital for forty years.
Teresa was predeceased by her loving husband of 53 years, Dr. John J. Kennedy Sr. in 2000.
Survived by her loving children Teresa A. Kennedy, John J. (Debra) Kennedy Jr., Robert J. (Elaine) Kennedy all of Schenectady and Richard J. (Kathleen) Kennedy of Ashburn, VA. Grandmother of Kimberly, Colleen, Mary, John, Michael, Robert (Lauren) and Erin Kennedy. Great Grandmother of Georgia and Shiloh Kennedy. Also survived by her sister Eleanor Pendergast and brother Edward Ciletti and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers John, Fred and Vincent Ciletti.
A special thanks to Dr. William A. Busino, Jr., Dr. Robert Parkes, Dr. Richard D'Ascoli and Dr. George Giokas, and especially to her many wonderful in-home caregivers.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday April 30th at 9 AM at St. Kateri Tekakwitha, 2216 Rosa Rd. Schenectady. Calling hours will be Sunday from 5 PM to 8 PM at the Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St., Schenectady for those who wish to call.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Teresa's memory may be made to St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish or to the John and Teresa Kennedy Fund at the Foundation for Ellis Medicine.
