I will greatly miss my fraternity brother and golf and track buddy. Every August for many years we went to Saratoga to keep the horses in hay and then played some golf, he always beat me in both. He will be missed by all his fraternity brothers and classmates at Lehigh.

I am greatly saddened to hear that Hank has passed. I was privileged to work with Hank at Shearson Lehman Brothers (Albany) in the late 1980's, early 1990's, and again at Morgan Stanley (Niskayuna) years later. I would often see Hank at Starbucks near our office. He always had a broad smile. It was clear how much he enjoyed contact with friends and colleagues. Hank was especially proud of his children and always spoke of Stephanie and Brandon (who I also got to know). My sincere condolences to Mary Ellen and the entire family.

Brandon and the Haase Family
So sorry to read about your dad's passing. I was in shock. He was way to young and I know looked forward to a long retirement on the golf course. We had a great business relationship and I'll never forget his comments about how we were "making our bogey" on our investments.
Gods speed

Mary Ellen...what a gracious, humble, and devoted husband and friend Hank was! As others have said here, he had an infectious smile/laugh, and the uncanny ability to make you feel at ease and welcomed in his presence. I considered him to a “mensch” —- committed to bringing out the best in others and himself. AND, what a love story you both had!! The times that I’ve been in your home, it was clear that his devotion and love for you transcended all things! He was so patient with the children in the neighborhood, and with his grandchildren...always choosing to live by example, and giving all that he had to create a better world. He will be remembered for his strength of character and his love for family and life. May his memories be for a blessing, in this generation and for all to come.
Affectionately,
Maxine and Bruce

Mary Ellen, Stephanie and Brandon, and extended family - Rob, the girls and I extend our deepest sympathies at this difficult time. Hank will be sorely missed by so many. My own memories of him extend back to early childhood. Hank’s quick smile, kind heart, attentive manner, respect for everyone no matter what age all left him indelibly printed in my memories with tremendous fondness and love. What a wonderful soul! We are with you in spirit, and you are in our prayers. Much love, Hilary, Rob, Sydney and Ella
