I was sad to read about Pete's passing in The Daily Gazette. I was fortunate to work with Pete for a number of years during the part of my career at GE. He was always upbeat and had many enjoyable stories to tell that enlivened our work days. Of course, he was also a true professional who took pride in getting it right the first time.

I met Pete over 35 years ago at GE while working in the Technical Manuals area. From that point we worked together off and on in several other jobs up until his retirement from GE. I have many fond memories of Pete--- he was a friend and colleague. He blessed us with his extreme wit and intelligence and his love of Bluegrass.

Pete we will all miss you. I have great memories of you calling me "short stuff". You were the only one to ever get away with calling me that. You were always fun loving and happy when we were hanging out. I remember tasting frogs legs for the first time out to dinner with you and your family.

Peter was a wonderful person. I remember as a young child visiting Peter and Sandy. He would make time to play with us kids and he was always happy to share a laugh. He was the reason for my first trip to a blue grass festival. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family

Peter was a friend and a fraternity brother, whose personality and talents were admired by all who knew him. Like all college friends, the years put some distance between us. I am so grateful that I saw him at our 45th reunion in 2012, although it saddens me to realize that that was the last time I was ever going to see him.

When I remember Pete, I always see his smile and hear his laughter. He was always having fun. A few years back, he sent me a picture which one of our fraternity brothers found. During my apparently serious conversation on the telephone, Pete is leaning back and very much enjoying himself. Sure enough, there is a smile on his face. The other constants which I remember were his banjo and his enthusiasm for Star Trek. Pete must have been one of the very first Trekkies. Pete will be missed and although I will not be able to attend his funeral, I extend my sincere condolences to all of his family and friends.

Peter has been a volunteer in my school library for the past several years. He told me nearly every time I saw him that he felt so happy to be able to spend time with his granddaughter Samantha and her classmates. Peter was a kind, generous person who will be missed by many at our school.

Over thirty years ago Peter and I began our enjoyable journey into learning to play the 5-string banjo. After retirement, Peter, also an accomplished acoustic guitarist, would bring his guitar over to my house each week for a 2-hour bluegrass jam session. We were no Flatt and Scruggs, but we had a good time. The two of us would play for an hour or so and then grab a cup of coffee and spend the rest of the time talking about the fun we were having with our grandkids.

As Peter was an upper classman in college, he was one of my fraternity brothers whom I always looked up to and tried to emulate in being the best I could be as a student and as an Alpha Sig. He was a positive, fun to be around, involved and caring influence in all our fraternity activities. I will always have many great memories of my time at Tufts because of him and I extend my sympathies to his family at this sad time.

I will always remember Peter as the fraternity brother that got the whole house to practice singing folk songs and to compete in various choral/sing alongs at Tufts. He contributed a great deal to our college memories. He was a great person and friend and will be missed. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the services in person. My sincere condolences to his entire family.
