Niskayuna-Francis B. Reilley, 84, of Niskayuna died Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at St. Peter's Hospice, with his loving wife of 59 years by his side.
Born in New York City, son of the late Francis A. and Grace Harwick Reilley. Frank attended prep school at Seton Hall and graduated from Union College with a Master in Electrical Engineering. He was an Army Airforce Veteran during WW II stationed in Lavenham, England. Frank married Ann Stankunas November 20, 1948, in Cleveland, Ohio. He worked for General Electric as an Electrical Engineer in West Lynn, Ma, then moved to Schenectady in 1963 working at MAO and retired in 1993 . Frank was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church and the GE Elfun Society. He loved his family, sailing and woodworking.
Survived by his wife Ann; six children; Peter V. Reilley and his wife Jayne of Londonderry, NH, James F. Reilley and his wife Denise of Acton, MA, Carol Deere and her husband Richard of New York City, Mark A. Reilley and his wife Maggie of Altamont, NY, Donna G. Reilley of Denver, CO, Kevin B. Reilley and his wife Beth of West Kennebunk, ME; 11 grandchildren, Alexandra, Matthew, Kate, Scott, Julia, Erika, Colin, Nathan, David, Alyssa and Andrew.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian burial on Tuesday, June 24, at 9 AM at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Rosa Rd., Schenectady with the Rev. Robert Longobucco officiating. Calling hours will be Monday evening from 4PM to 7PM at the Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St., (at McClellan St.), Schenectady for those who wish to call. Burial will be Tuesday at 1:30 PM at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.
Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made in Frank's memory to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205. The Reilley family appreciates the kindness and dedicated care given Frank during his long illness at Kingsway Nursing Center.
