I just learned today that Mr. Wells passed away. He was my math teacher at the Albany Academy. He was a very sincere and nice person and I learned a lot from him at the Academy when I was his student. I am glad I had the opportunity to speak with him and thank him at my Academy 25th reunion in May 2006.

We first met Peter about 25 years ago when we lived across from his mother-in-law Ruth Walmsley on Miles Standish Rd in Rotterdam. When we moved we were fortunate to become one of his neighbors. We immediately were taken by his gentle nature and quiet sense of humor. We value the Christmas Eves that our families shared together. He will be missed.

Mr. Wells pulled me through I Form (7th grade) math in 1959 at Albany Academy, but he could never manage to turn me into a basketball player. But his impression on my life is firmly etched. God rest his soul.

We are former students of Joan's from Ballston Spa. We enjoyed many Christmas dinners at the Wells' residence. We also attended many football games with Peter and Joan. Peter was a total gentleman and kind person. It was our pleasure to have spent time with him. Our deepest condolences.

Peter has been my next door neighbor and dear friend for over 8 years. Although not a man of many words, he spoke from his heart and had such a kind spirit. His generosity was unmatched by most, and he will certainly be missed. We should all learn from Peter because he lived life to the fullest, with no regrets. I always admired him for that. Thank you Peter for many special times with you, Mike, and myself. We will cherish them always, and we will miss you terribly. Rest in peace with Joan.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Peter for over 30 years. We moved into our houses the same time. Peter was my next door neighbor and also a great friend. My family will miss him dearly. Rest in peace my friend. For ever in our hearts.
