Obituary of Eric Peterson

Eric E. Peterson 73, of Schenectady died Tuesday, August 19, 2008, at home after a short illness.
Eric, born in New York City, was enlisted in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict as a B- 29 Tail Gunner. He was a past Boy Scout leader, a Professional Scuba Diver and Instructor, a Hunter Safety Trainer, past member and Mission Pilot for Civil Air Patrol where he served as a Cadet Leader, past member of Life Line Pilots. He was a member of Trout Unlimited, the Korean war Veterans Association, American Legion Post 1092 and a life member of the National Rifle Association where he was a certified instructor in rifle, pistol and personal protection. He was also a life member of 307th Bomb Group Wing and a life member of Veterans of Foreign War Post 8692. Eric retired in 2000.
Eric is survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda Greenlees Peterson, one son, Steven M. Gallagher and his wife Diane of Wilmington, NC; two daughters, Lisa G. Pallone and her husband Joseph of Clifton Park and Marca Rose Peterson of London, England. Also survived by two grandchildren, William M. Frank and Cynthia L. Pallone, and one nephew, James Clearwater of Seattle, WA.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial service on Saturday, August 30th, at 11AM at the Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St., (at McClellan St.), Schenectady. Visitation will be Friday evening August 29th from 5 PM to 7 PM at the funeral home for those who wish to call.
Memorial contributions in Eric's memory may be made to any Veterans Organization or cause of your choice.
