Kathleen Mary Ann Piel, 39, of Schenectady and for the last year in Cobleskill died on Sunday, January 11, 2009 at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 6, 1969 in Schenectady to the late Joseph E. and Jeanne F. Piel Sr. Kathleen was a High School Graduate of Linton High. A member of Aim High, Special Olympics, O.D. Heck Recreation Group, Faith & Light Prayer Group and the ARC. Beloved sister of Robert Piel Sr. (Linda) of Berne, Joseph E. Piel Jr. (Maureen) of Scotia, Michelle Frisone (Frank) of Ballston Spa, Karen Diamond (Chuck) of Scotia, Donald Piel (Mary) of Glenville and Susan Padula (Vincent) of Schenectady. Also survived by several Nieces and Nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 9:00am at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Rosa Road, Schenectady. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 5 PM to 7 PM at the Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union Street., (At McClellan Street) Schenectady for those who wish to call. Burial will be in Most Holy Redeemer in Niskayuna. Memorial contributions in Kathleen's memory in lieu of flowers may be made to Skye Farms 1884 E. Schroon River Road, Warrensburgh, NY 12885.
