Schenectady - Larry K. Washington 54, of Guilderland Avenue, went Home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 21. 2009 with his loving family by his side. Born in Schenectady on July 26, 1954, son of the late LeRoy and Lillian Mae Washington. Larrry was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School, he was employed by CDTA as a Bus Driver. He loved his cars, fishing,playing the saxophone, jazz music, cooking and spending time with his family. Survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Susan Murtagh; five children, Dante' Washington,Shicoa Washington, Danielle Murtagh, Jamile Murtagh and Adrian Capiello; nine grandchildren, Eyvonntae, Jaydo, Derrick, Damon, Cory, Rejeana, Makaylah, Jada and Alivia; two sisters, Shirley Myers and Terry June Washington; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Jerry Washington and his sister Sidney Mae Anderson. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Larry's Life on Monday, January 26th at Noon at the Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St., (at McClellan St.), Schenectady, with Rev. James Bookhout officiating. A calling hour will be held from 11 AM on Monday prior to the service for those who wish to call. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park, Colonie, following the service. Memorial contributions may be made in Larry's memory to the American Diabetes Association, 7 Washington Square, Albany, NY 12205.
