Obituary of Marguerite Wilkinson

Schenectady- Marguerite "Peg" McWhorter Wilkinson 98, at Ellis Hospital on Saturday, November 14, 2009, after a short illness. Born in Cambridge, NY, daughter of the late John and Anna McMorris McWhorter. Peg has been a resident of Schenectady since 1941. She worked at Freihofer Baking Company as a Comptometer Opereator for 15 years. She was a member of Union Presbyterian Church; member of Niskayuna Garden Club; an Elder and Deacon of Union Presbyterian Church; a member of Annie Shaffer Sr. Center; Sunnyview Pool Therapy Group since 1988; and a member of Schenectady 2000. Predeceased by her husband,William and her daughter, Susan. Survived by her daughter, Patricia Brown, of Rockport, MA; also survived by her granddaughters Maria Brown of Dedham, MA; and Lisa Forkas of Schenectady; two great grandsons, Colby Flis and Brendan Flis; and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the excellent staff of Ellis Hospital, especially in the Emergency Department, A-4, and Ellis Center. A Memorial service to be held at Union Presbyterain Church on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 11 AM. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made in Peg's memory to Union Presbyterian Church,Ellis Hospital Foundation or Sunnyview Hospital. Burial will be in Memory's Garden with her husband.
