Dear Maria, we met long ago when our husbands were both starting their careers at GE's R&D Center, and before our children all went through the Niskayuna school system. Although our lives have not crossed paths for many years, I wanted to tell you how much my heart goes out to you. Your losses have touched all of us in the Niskayuna community who have known you, your husband and your children. Sincerely, Mary & Jim Corman

To the Family of young Melissa Greskovich, I read the heartfelt obituary you wrote to describe your lovely daughter and her tragic struggle with mental illness and addiction. My 24-year-old son, who suffered with these maladies, took his own life two years ago. I didn't know at that time how I would go on. It was the notes I received from others who shared my pain that helped me survive. I hope this note will bring some consolation to you. Thank you for your bravery in sharing the sad truth about mental illness and addictions. They steal our children. May you find peace. ~Susan

Dear Maria, I was so saddened to hear about the tragic loss of beautiful Melissa. I remember her smile the very first years we moved to Niskayuna from Texas. I spoke to Lauren and she sends sincere condolances also. She remembers Melissa as her first friend after our move. Melissa was a beautiful extremely intelligent young woman and we are praying for peace for you at this most difficult time. In my prayers, Karen and Tom Brewer

Maria- it was devastating to hear about Melissa. My heart and prayers go out to you and your family. I remember her so fondly during the time we went to First Reformed and especially her gift of befriending a handful of a kid in my son, Zach. He would look at her with adoration. I will pray for your stength during this journey. Please take care of your health. Belinda Florada
