We are members of Lisha's Kill Reformed Church where Jan has been a member since 2nd Reformed was closed. I remember Jan as a friendly, upbeat person who smiled even if she wasn't feeling well. She was always pleasant to talk to. I regularly sent holiday cards to her which she much appreciated. We are honored to have known her for the past few years.

I had the priviledge of serving on the Board of Directors of Ingersoll Place with Dr. Best. She was an amazing woman and will truly be missed. She certainly was a role model for the women of today. May she rest in peace. My sympathy to all of her family and friends, especially Dr. Veeder.

I was so saddened to hear of Dr. Best's passing. Her parents Clifford and Olive Miller Best were my grandparent's good friends and guests at my second birthday party. She and my mother Joyce Roche were in contact until my mother's passing in 1997. Several years ago I had called her about genealogy of the Miller family and she was so kind and helpful. Just yesterday the local historian and I were looking at a picture of parents and reflecting on them. My condolences to her friends and family.
