Obituary of Charles McTygue JR

Charles A. McTygue Jr. passed away Sunday Morning, September 16th, at Rosary Hill Home in Hawthorne, NY. He was 79 years old. Born on March 1st, 1933 in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. to Charles A. McTygue Sr. and Rose Lanzara McTygue. Charles moved to Westchester County, NY, where he graduated from Westchester Community College in 1953 with a degree in civil engineering. He Married Rosaria Marcelli in 1954. Charles proudly served his country in the Army and after his military service he took residence in Yorktown Heights. Charles worked for Westchester County as a Civil Engineer from 1955 until he retired in 1995. Charles is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Rosaria (Marcelli) McTygue: His loving children,- Sons James A. McTygue and Michael C McTygue, and daughter and son-in-law, Carol (Lachterman) McTygue and Ed Lachterman: his two Grandchildren Keri A. Maresca and Drew McTygue: his four brothers - Michael (Rosemary), Thomas (Sandra), William and Peter (Jackie), all of Saratoga Springs, N.Y. He is predeceased by his parents - Charles A. McTygue Sr. and Rose Lanzara McTygue, and sister Patricia McTygue McGovern of Niskayuna, N.Y. Friends may call on the family at Yorktown Funeral Home, Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Mass of Christian burial will be at St. Patrick's Church in Yorktown Heights, Wednesday at 10am. In Lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Charles' memory to Rosary Hill Home, 600 Linda Avenue, Hawthorne, NY 10532.
