Bette adopted our family when we moved here 32 years ago. She was always there to help and went out of her way to communicate with our children. I can't put into words all she did. She was always there to talk with and to lend a smile. I went online to find her address in Mass. which I had lost, and found her Obituary. I am so sorry to learn of her passing. There is a hole in my heart. She was a dear friend. You can't replace those. I know you are in a good place, Bette, and I shall miss you so much.

My deepest sympathy to Bette's family: I have such fond memories of my time together with Bette when I would make my annual pilgrimage to Schenectady to visit my dear mother in law, Marge Riccitello and our dear friend, Ann Palleschi; we had the best talks together and we even made plans to meet here in Florida. I so missed Bette when she left the area but she has remained a special lady who has a warm place in my heart.

Bette, having lived "around the corner" on the farm from you, Bill and your Great Danes out in the country, and being a former student of yours at Benhi, I have the most marvelous memories of you and your loving, outgoing, sweet personality. Of all those memories, the one I have always cherished was the trip you took me on to Boston to the AKC dog show when I was around ten or twelve years old. And yes, your Danes were better than our Dane! But I can rest comfortably knowing you are in Heaven with Mom and Dad, talking of the "good old days" on Pownal Road and South Stream Road.
