Obituary of Norman C. Hoffmann

Niskayuna- Norman C. Hoffmann 82, of Niskayuna died on Thursday, September 3, 2009 after a short illness at Ellis Hospital with his wife and daughter at his side. Norman was born in St. Louis, Missouri and has been a resident of Niskayuna for 40 years. He graduated with a degree in Business from Washington University, St. Louis, MO. Norman was employed with the Monsanto Company, General Electric, Lockwood Green and an Independent Contractor for the United States Postal Service.. Norman was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church. He was also a member of the Niskayuna Tax Review, St. Stephen's Episcopal Church Worship Committee, Finance Committee, Chalice Bearer, Albany Via Media, served on the Standing Committee, also a delegate to General Convention and President of the Metropolitan Deanery. Norman is survived by his wife of 47 years, Charline Hoffmann and his daughter, Kathryn Hoffmann. A Celebration of Norman's Life will be held on Monday, September 7th at Noon at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 1935 The Plaza, Schenectady. Friends may call starting at 11 AM at the church. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions in Norman's memory may be made to St. Stephen's Episcopal Church 1935 The Plaza, Schenectady, NY 12309.
