Niskayuna-Ann (Fortunata) Presti DiGuilio 80, formerly of East Greenbush and Wynwood, Niskayuna, passed away early Thursday morning surrounded by her loving family at the home of her son Gerald (Jay) , daughter-in-law, Michele, and her adored grandchildren, Zachary and Kaitlyn in Niskayuna.
Ann was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband, Gerlando DiGuilio. She was the daughter of the late Santa Angurda Presti and Santo (Sam) Presti and sister of the late Charles Presti.
Ann was employed for over 40 years by the State of New York Public Service Commission from which she retired in 1992. Ann loved to cook for her family, and was famous for her wine chicken dish. She especially loved celebrating holidays and birthdays with Jay and his family and Kaitlyn and Zachary loved to visit and talk with Nana when having breakfast with her every morning. She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her beloved son and family; her brothers, Santo (Sam) Presti and Anthony Presti of Rensselaer, sister-in-law of Margaret DeJulio of Delancey, NY and Anna Marie Spinelli of Florida. Best life-long friend of Angie Appis of Florida. Ann is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 22, 2010 at St. John the Evangelist Church, 806 Union St., Schenectady, at 10 AM
Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 PM to 5 PM at the Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St., (at McClellan St.), Schenectady for those who wish to call. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush.
