Obituary of Elizabeth S. Waddell

Elizabeth Siegel Waddell (Liz), 92, of Schenectady died peacefully June 3, 2015 at Kingsway Arms Nursing Center. Elizabeth was born October 28, 1922 in Rotterdam, NY. She was the daughter of John P. and Elsie Rickard Siegel. Elizabeth graduated from Draper High School and worked for Clark Witbeck Co. as a Secretary for 26 years and later at Van Alastine Tool Co. and retired in 1972. She was a member of Trinity Reformed Church where she taught Sunday School for over 50 years and sang in the choir. She also attended Woodlawn Reformed Church. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother George Siegel. She is survived by her husband Allen R. Waddell, who she married in October 1966; her sister Marion P. Lee of Frederick, Maryland, her nephew Dr. James P. Lee (Carol) of Frederick, Maryland, nephew John. E. Siegel of Auburn, Maine, and niece Sharon E. Siegel of Schenectady, NY. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Tuesday June 9th at 2 PM at the Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St., (at McClellan St.), Schenectady with Rev. Arthur Hudak officiating. A calling hour will be from 1 PM prior to the service at the funeral home for those who wish to call. Burial will follow the service in Memory Garden's, Colonie, next to her parents. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to City Mission, 425 Hamilton Street, Schenectady, NY 12305
