I knew Giles as "SpeedWing". I met him while flying the simulator online. He graciously and with great patience, started to train me flying my favorite small aircraft, the Piper Cub. Many an evening we spent flying, talking about planes and music. I'll always be grateful for the time he spent with me. I miss ya, Speed.

To Giles' family, I am greatly saddened by this loss as you must be. Giles was a dear friend during my formative years and his friendship was a saving grace for me. I was there when he discovered his true gift (among many) for engineering and artfully creating in wood. We played pinochle and drank peach brandy and shared so many adventures. He is gone too soon and my heart aches. My sincere condolences. Gary Schwartz

Dear Krys and family, What a gifted man Giles was! When my mom, Sally Maissel, lived with me in the 1980s we visited with your Dad. He was so kind and we enjoyed seeing him in his home. My Mom always remembered him as one of her favorite people (she taught art at Elkins Park Junior High and at Cheltenham High School). I send you fond memories of Giles. I send you Light. "Ride the Joy of the good memories and allow the pain of loss; it speaks to the Love we have shared." Joanne Kelly Stockbridge MA.

This lovely video of GIles and his work was posted by Mr Blain, the videographer who did this biographical piece in the mid-90's. Ray Leier narrates. I thank Mr. Blain for posting it.

Krys, I am so sorry for your loss. I did not know your dad. But your grandfather gave my friend and I a tour of his studio years ago and we were so impressed by his work. your grandfather was a highlight of our lives and knowing him was a delightful experience.
