Obituary of Anthony J. Schneble

Niskayuna- Anthony J. Schneble passed away peacefully on July 4, 2011 at Ellis Residential and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Dayton, Ohio the son of Anthony J. Schneble and Mary (Moorman) Schneble, he graduated from Chaminade High School and the University of Dayton with a degree in Electrical Engineering. After graduation, he joined General Electric Company's Test Engineering Program with assignments in Fort Wayne, Indiana and Schenectady, New York. In 1953 Tony obtained his New York State professional engineer license. He worked for General Electric's Installation and Service Engineering Department as a service engineer administering warranty service on electric motors. He retired from the General Electric Company in 1984. Tony was active in community service and was a volunteer for Meals On Wheels, did appliance repair for the Annie Schaffer Senior Service Center, and worked with the aircraft restoration committee at the Empire State Aeroscience Museum. He served as eucharistic minister and lector at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Schenectady, NY. Tony enjoyed bowling, sailing, golfing, gardening, bridge, and photography. Tony is survived by his wife of 57 years, Corrine Rush Schneble, his daughter, Karen (Gerard) Boudreau of Wayland, Massachusetts and grandson, Luke Boudreau. A funeral Mass will be held at 9:00 AM on Thursday, July 7 at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 2216 Rosa Rd. Schenectady, NY 12309. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Fatima Church.
