Obituary of Philomena A. Buchalski

Schenectady- Philomena "Phyllis" Buchalski 89, resident of Baptist Retirement Center, passed away suddenly at Ellis Hospital on July 2, 2010 with her family at her side. Born in Hazardville, CT, daugther of the late Peter and Winifred Bodeja Podeszwa. Phyllis worked in Production at General Electric for 29 years, she retired in 1982. Predeceased by her husband Sigmund "Butch" Buchalski in 1998, also her 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Survived by her 3 sons; Robert (Mary) of Sun City Center, FL, Wayne (Patty) of Scotia, Lon (Kathy) of Clifton Park; grandchildren, Robert (Denise) Buchalski, Marcia "Sissy" (Thomas) Schmidtmann, Mark Buchalski, Courtney (Brian Mossa) Buchalski, Bret Buchalski, Brooke Buchalski; great grandchildren, Robert, Joshua, Colleen, Kathleen, Mark, Nathan, Nicole, Brian, Bret, Jr., Samantha; great great grandson, Tanner. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial on Wednesday at 9 AM at St. Joseph's Church, Scotia. Calling hours will be Tuesday evening from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St., (at McClellan St.), Schenectady. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Amsterdam, NY. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Phyllis to Baptist Health Rehabilitation Center, 297 N.Ballston Ave., Scotia, NY 12302.
