I have been Evelyn's massage therapist for about 4 years now. Once a month I would visit her at Glen Eddy and we would spend a half hour together. She was clever, witty and kind. She shared stories of her life and adventures with me. I consider myself lucky to have known her even though it was for such a short time. I will always remember her with love and respect, and my sincerest condolences go out to her family and friends.

Dear Stephen and family, We were so sorry to hear of the passing of your mother when we returned home from a trip to Antarctica yesterday. She was my predecessor at Sunnyview - and was still working part time when I sterted there in March, 1958. She suggested that I join the OYKs - and that is where i met my husband, Clark Gittinger. I have alwayse credited her with that meeting. As you know, she came back to work part time after you and your brother were grown - and we have always kept in touch. I had a birthday card ready to mail to her in a few days. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. Sincerely, Millie and Clark Gittinger

I have known Evelyn and most of her family ( parents, husband children) for many years- I remember the birth of her 2 sons very well -My children played a lot with them since we were living next door- As the years passed , we saw less of each other- Stephen please accept my deep condolences - Losing a mom is always very hard to accept-You were lucky to have her so many years - -She was very fond of you and proud of you- An old friend Germaine Doremus
