Obituary of Evelyn Rita Mason

Evelyn R. Mason passed away at her home in Scotia on Friday, September 26, 2014 after a harrowing battle with pancreatic cancer. . At her side were two of her best friends; her daughter, Francesca Friedman and Frank Wilson. Evelyn was born on March 2, 1934 in Pownal, VT, the daughter of the late Nancy and Albert Chenaille. A dedicated, loving wife and mother, she worked beside her late husband Stephen Mason until his passing in 2004 as owners of Steve Mason Chevrolet and Park Motors. She lived her life to the fullest, loved and cared for others with every breath she took, and put her heart of gold into everything she did. She loved her family and friends dearly (and always made sure everyone was well fed with her delicious specialties!) Her smile and energetic, humorous personality and zest for life was an inspiration to everyone whose lives she touched. With many dear friends and family, she was truly loved and adored by all. It is with deep sorrow and great loss that we bid her goodbye until we can be together again, for she is truly, heavens' most treasured new angel and will always be our angel. She was predeceased by her husband, Stephen Mason, her sons Anthony L. Mason and Paul P. Mason, her sister, Doris Wren, and brother, Richard Chenaille. She is survived by her sisters, Kathleen Cusick and Sylvia Bentley, brother Lawrence Chenialle , son Christopher Mason, daughter Francesca Friedman and her husband Dean Michael Friedman, her granddaughter, Crystal Mason, grandson, Joseph Friedman, great grandson, Leland Taylor and special friend, Frank Wilson.
