Obituary of Emilia A. Mott

Emilia "Angie" Mott of Schenectady passed away peacefully on the evening of September 10, 2012 at Ellis Hospital. She was born in Mechanicville, the second youngest of 8 children to the late John and Emilia Mignacci. Emilia met the love of her life, George F. Mott at General Electric and they married on May 2, 1948. Upon the death of George in 1965, she worked as a secretary at Carl Liss Appliance in Schenectady. Emilia was the primary caregiver to her siblings, her mother, her mother in-law and sister in-law. She was predeceased by her siblings and her loving son, David F. Mott in 2006. Her love and goodness has touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed. She was truly one of those unique individuals who left the world a better place than she found it. Survived by her loving daughter, Cynthia A. Mott and her beloved canine companion Namaste; She is also survived by nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Saturday at Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Parish, (formerly St. Helen's Church) Union Street. Interment to follow in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St., (at McClellan St.) Friday evening from 6 PM to 8 PM. Memorial contributions in Emilia's memory may be made to the Animal Protective Foundation, 53 Maple Ave., Scotia, NY 12302.
