Our sincere condolences to all in the Stacy family. Lil was a good friend for many years in Niskayuna and a member of the Niskayuna educators family. Whenever we were in town we always had wonderful conversations with Lil. She loved her family dearly and always looked forward to their visits and visiting them. Our love to all in the family. We will remember Lil with great fondness.

I am sad to read of your mother's passing. Although I met her only a few times, I recognized she was a very strong, compassionate, patient, and hard working woman. She welcomed me into her home for dinner as I was Judy's roommate in college. May your heart heal with the loving memories of her.

Tom and family, I offer support and love at this time of most personal loss. Until their death, there is never a time in our lives that our parents have not been there with and for us. The death of parents is thus an expected, yet hard moment. To each family member, from children to grandchildren and increasing circles I offer my care. I celebrate Lil's significant love for each family member: the way in which she supported each, encouraged each, uplifted each, rejoiced with each, cried and laughed with each. When you were down, she stood beside you; when things looked up, she stood beside you. And she found meaning and joy from relating with each of you in care. I celebrate Lil's faith which gave her the guidance and courage to be who she was and stand by others as she did. Positive, hopeful, looking always ahead, living for the day and cheerful to be with were traits I found helpful in her. I celebrate her love for the church, her willingness to critique it and yet help make it a better community. We are all the better people because of the love which she shared with us. You are all in the presence of the ONE who loves and cares more than all others together.

My deepest sympathy to Judy, Nina, Tom and their families. Loosing your mother is one of life's greatest hurts. Lil was so much a part of a Niskayuna and her prescense will be missed by so many. She was the last of " the moms" in the old neighborhood. As long as she was in the red house the streets still felt like home. I am so sad she is gone.
