Happy Mothers Day Grammie. Thank you for showing us all how to love deeply and live fully. The smell of lipstick reminds me of you and when you taught me how to put it on in that pinkish shade you loved. I can't eat a grapefruit without thinking of you and the fruit spoons you used to serve it to us with. I think of you on the ski slopes, on long walks or any time I see a Thanksgiving parade. I think of you when I make a poppyseed cake, which is a feat I have finally accomplished. I'm sorry you lost so much of yourself in the end, but we remember you as you really were. To me you will always be the "Red Bandit", the spirited woman who could light up any room. I love you Grammie.
