Obituary of Judith Pace Antokol
Please share a memory of Judith to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Judith Pace Antokol, 72, of Glenville passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, October 22, 2016.
She was predeceased by her son John Pace Antokol in September 2013.
Judi lived a heart-centered life, always aiming to help others experience gentleness and appreciation. She attended Columbia Pacific University and had a master's degree in counseling. She worked for many years as a counselor in private practice, then as the Executive Director as Haven Grief Counseling Service, from which she retired.
She was a devoted mother, and sacrificed whatever was necessary to make her son, John, her top priority, until he died several years ago. She cared passionately about animals and loved her rescued dogs tenderly. She was a generous friend and enjoyed hosting an annual Christmas party. To a 1987 event celebrating world transformation, she brought a song expressing the importance of seeing the best in each other, the words to which are "All I ask of you is forever to remember me as loving you." These words symbolize what Judi hoped for in personal and global relationships.
A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St., (at McClellan St.) Schenectady.
