Obituary of Frances M. Shepard

Frances Desell Shepard of Galway, passed away June 18, 2013 at Saratoga Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born in Lawrence, MA, a daughter to the late Arthur C. and Sarah Rybarcyzk Desell. Frances was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School and worked during WW II at GE in the Aeronautics Dept. and at NY Telephone Co.. She was a devoted communicant of St. John the Baptist Church. Frances will be forever remembered as being the perfect "Mother". Predeceased by her husband, John Shepard Jr., and her daughter Suzanne Shepard. Survived by her loving children, John (Rosemary) Shepard III of Benson, NY, Arthur (Barbara) Shepard of Broadalbin, NY, Joyce (Edward) Edick of Ellenton, FL, Holly (David) Newlin of Decatur, MI. Sisters, Joyce Walkowicz of Glenville, NY and Evelyn Talerico of Roanoke, VA. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday from 4 PM to 6 PM at the Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St.(at McClellan St.), Schenectady. Funeral services will be private for family. Burial will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. Memorial contributions in Frances's memory may be made to Saratoga Hospital Foundation, 211 Church St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
