Lou and I were graduates of Nott Terrace High School in Schenectady class of '47; she graduated in January and I graduated in June. We had over 450 classmates and I never knew Lou in school but got to know her on the Reunion Committee where she was very active for a number of years. She even provided the space for the committee to meet at the Methodist Church on Brandywine Ave. She was a good friend and will be sorely missed. My condolences to her family.

Growing up, I spent many weekends at Deer Run Campground. I have treasured memories of spending time with Lou in their camper, hearing about her and Jack's adventures, painting our nails, chatting, seeing her knitting projects and collections of sea glass and Cape Cod memorabilia. She was such a wonderful woman and they were just such a great couple- two very special people indeed. Thank you for the memories and the guidance Lou! Sending love and good wishes to the Coates family.

I have so many memories of Aunt Lou and Uncle Jack. I am thankful we had the opportunity of knowing them as we were growing up. I especially remember Aunt Lou's laugh -- and it was a laugh everyone heard often. Chris & Betsy, she will be sadly missed but the memories remain. I am so glad for the phone conversation I had with her about a month ago. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Nancy & Lee
