Linda and I were born 3 days apart to our mothers, Justine and Pat who were sisters. They shared a hospital room for our births so I guess you could say Lin and I started out life together. When I was 3 my Dad was transferred out of state, so I lost my constant playmate, but we always connected back up when our family would come back to Schenectady. We moved back in '59 and Lin & I became super close, as we were in the same class at St. John's for the next 3 years. Grandma Ryan always bought us dresses alike, but in different colors. As our # of cousins increased to 13, we remained the only girls, until our Uncle Roland's daughter Mary was born in CA in the 80"s. When we moved to Arizona, we were penpals throughout our teens and 20's,and she came out west to visit 3 or 4 times, and I went back twice to see her. She was godmother, by proxy, to my daughter Carrie. I was so very happy she found the love of her life and enjoyed almost 15 years with Steven. Jenni and I flew out for the wedding. Linda was brave in her darkest hours, totally devoted to family, and she always knew the proper thing to do and did it. Feisty, strong, fun-loving, devoted describe the Linda I knew. I will miss my wonderful cousin, Lin.

Linda was my sister-in-law but even more she was a friend and neighbor for many years. Oddly enough, all of us were, her husband Steve (who is my husband's brother)and his family, my family and the Dennebaums have known each other for many years. Linda was a wonderful person, she stepped up and became an adult way before she should have cause her mother got sick and died and Linda had to become a mom as well as a big sister to two teens, a mentally retarded brother and 2 younger brothers who really needed some mothering. She gave up her younger years to take care of her brothers and that shows what a strong and caring person she was. I know all her brothers appreciate her and love her because she became the maternal influence in their life as well as being a sister and I know they appreciate and are in awe of what she gave up for them, but in Linda's eyes she wasn't giving up anything she was only doing what a big sister in her position needed to do. Good bye Linda, a wonderful sister, aunt, wife and friend!!!!!
