Obituary of Stephen O. Punzi

Niskayuna- Stephen O. Punzi 56, of Niskayuna, passed away Wednesday evening May 30, 2012 at St. Peter's Hospice with his family by his side after a 2 year battle with cancer.
Stephen was born in Utica, NY son of the late Stephen A. and Jacqueline Vitalone Punzi. He graduated from Thomas R. Proctor High School in Utica and Schenectady County Community College with a degree in Business. Stephen was a salesmen at the Old Brick Furniture Store in Albany for many years. He was a vivacious and charismatic man with a great sense of humor, who enjoyed late dinners and cocktails with friends, hanging out on the patio listening to The Beatles, and watching a good Yankee game. Most of all, Stephen was a loving husband, father, and friend with a heart of gold.
Stephen is survived by his wife of 15 years, Cheryl Parmon Punzi; daughter, Julia Punzi of Rochester; his brother, Mark Punzi of Utica, his sister Annalyn (Gary) Mosakowski of NJ; nieces, Krista and Jenna Mosakowski. Survived also by cousins and many friends.
The family extends their sincere thanks to St. Peter's Hospital for their care and compassion.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Sunday, June 3rd at 3PM at the Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St., (at McClellan St.), Schenectady. Calling hours will be Sunday from 1PM to 3PM for those who wish to call. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Stephen's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
