Obituary of Barbara J. Alling

Schenectady-Barbara J. Alling, 45, passed away at Ellis Hospital on August 11, 2011. Born on March 8, 1966 in Niskayuna, daughter of the late Lawrence and Marion (Miller) Hubert, Sr. She was employed by MVP Healthcare in Schenectady. Barbara was a devoted and loving mother to her son, Christopher. His care was her first priority. Survivors in addition to her son Christopher Wideman of Albany include her companion, Bryan Thompson of Schenectady, her siblings, Rev. Lawrence W. Hubert, Jr. of Esperence, Carol (Don) Trotter of Texas, Marion (Dave) Sullivan of Brunswick and Annette (Marc) Hathaway of Rotterdam. Also, several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Barbara is predeceased by her sister Patricia Schaible. Visiting will be from 5-7pm on Wednesday, August 17 at the Jones Funeral Home, Inc. 1503 Union Street, Schenectady. Prayers will follow at 7 in the funeral home with Rev. Lawrence W. Hubert, Jr. officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donations to the Center for Disability C/O Chris Wideman, 82 Woodside Drive, Albany, NY 12208 in Barbara's memory.
