Niskayuna- Private services will be held for Mary A. Hoffman of Niskayuna, NY. Mrs. Hoffman died at the age of 95 on September 5, 2009 at Ellis Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Schenectady, July 16, 1914, Mrs. Hoffman was a life long resident of Schenectady. Mary was a mulit-talented craftswoman and excellent needleworker who loved animals.
Mrs. Hoffman was predeceased in death by her husband John P. Hoffman and is survived by her sister Clara Anderson of Schenectady, NY, her son Bruce J. Hoffman of Gunnison, Colorado and his wife Debby L. Hoffman, granddaughters Sarah, Leah, Eliza and Sophie Hoffman, and great grandchildren Kai Miller and Alana Hoffman all of Gunnison, CO, and son Paul A. Hoffman of Hadley, NY.
Mary was also greatly loved by her caretaker of 8 years, Ms. Anna West, a very kind and giving person.
Mrs, Hoffman will be interred at Memory's Garden on Thursday September 10th.
In lieu of flowers all donations should be sent to Mountain Mutts Animal Rescue, 811 N. Main St., Gunnison, CO 81230.
