Obituary of Robert Charles O'Neill

Robert Charles O'Neill 65, of Bennington, Vermont and former resident of Schenectady, passed away Monday, November 25, 2013 at Ellis Hospital with his family by his side. Robert was born in Fillmore, NY, a son of the late Alfred H. and Marjorie Weavers O'Neill. Robert was honorably discharged from the Air Force in 1970. He was a Police officer with the Schenectady Police Department. He is survived by his wife Marlene Knoblauch O'Neill and his daughter Erin O'Neill, both of Schenectady; his mother Marjorie Weavers O'Neill; his sister, Linda (Jeff) Speirs and his brother Colin (Lindy) O' Neill; nephew, Jeremy Speirs , niece Rachael (Phillip) Walton and great nephew Asher Walton. Predeceased by his father Alfred H. O'Neill. Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of Robert's life on Tuesday at 1 PM at the Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St., (at McClellan St.), with Rev. Kenneth McHeard officiating. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 11AM to the time of the service at 1PM. Entombment with Military Honors will be Wednesday at 1:30 PM at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National, Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.
