NISKAYUNA/WEBSTER, NY - RAYMOND S. KUKFA, on Monday, August 9, 2010. At age 85, passed away peacefully with his children at his side after a long illness. Ray was born August 9, 1925 in Baiting Hallow, Long Island and raised in Dayton, NJ. He graduated from RPI in Troy, NY. Ray will be remembered as an active member of the community with many contributions to General Electric, The Nuclear Navy, St. Helens Church, The Boy Scouts of America, RPI Alumni Association, Hickory Ski Center, Niskayuna School District, and frequent letters to the editor of this newspaper. He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 51 years, Rita: parents, Stanislaw and Katarzyna (Chmura) Kukfa; brother, Alfred Kukfa. He is survived by his son, Michael; daughter, Mary Katherine Kukfa Stallings; grandchildren, Matthew and Katherine Stallings, and David and Kristen Kukfa; sisters-in-law, Eleanor (Kukfa) Cleffi, Pauline (Robert) Fay, Evelyn (Robert) Fuller, and Jacqueline Zeno; also many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday, 4 PM to 7 PM at the Jones Funeral Home, Inc. 1503 Union Street Schenectady, NY 12309. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, 9:00 AM at St. Helen's Church, 1803 Union Street, Schenectady, NY. Interment in Saratoga National Cemetery Friday at 11 AM. Memorial contributions in Ray's memory may be made to St. Helen's Church.
