Carlton was a quiet and serious High School student. For three years, he and I delivered 157 copies of "The Brattleboro Reformer" to homes in the Southern part of town in Vermont. We shared the work, the responsibility and profits(one penny a copy). We worked well together without arguments or misunderstandings. It was a pleasure to work with him as a competent and willing partner. This venture may have been our first experience in the real world of business. For Carlton it led to a career in mechanics and ministry as a missionary in Africa.

I am so blessed to have been grafted into the family that sprang from Grampy's godly life and leadership and to have had time to get to know him before he moved on to his heavenly home. He was a true servant of the King and a delight to spend time with, and his love and example shaped who my husband is today, for which I am forever grateful. Praise God that Grampy is with his Savior Jesus this very day and that we will see him again for all eternity!

I am sure that there was a great welcoming celebration in heaven from all your loved ones that had gone on before you. We rejoice that you are in the presence of the Lord and are free from the earthly restraints. You will be missed. With fondest memories, Love from Jennifer Smith
