Carol Pratt Gillman 81, formerly of Consaul Rd., Schenectady, passed away on May 22, 2013, she was a resident of the Kingsway Community.
Carol was born in Bolton Landing to Alton and Theresa Endle Pratt, graduated from Bolton Central School and moved, with her family, to the Capital District in 1969. Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family and will be sorely missed. Carol was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Church, also a member of the Woodlawn community for many years and was actively involved in the activities sponsored by the community. Carol spent many years, doing what she loved most, making dolls she would market in craft fairs. Carol is predeceased by her husband Richard Gillman and daughter Catherine DeJuilio (Joe).
She is survived by a brother and sister; retired Gen. Joseph Pratt (Joan) and Suzanne Lagoy (Phil); her son, Andrew Gillman (Mary Lou) and daughter, Alexis McManus (Tim); four grandchildren, Matthew Gillman (Meredith); Daniel Gillman (Veronica); Theresa Buckley (Randy); Christine Bull (Ian) and five great-grandchildren, Zoey, Aiden, Bradana, Edgar and Evin.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 9 AM at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 2733 Albany St., Schenectady. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 PM to at the Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St. (at McClellan St.), Schenectady. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 9 AM at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 2733 Albany St. with internment at the Bolton Rural Cemetery following the service at 1 PM.
