Pete and I exchanged jobs at the Department of Environmental Conservation in 1979 or so, as I recall. I worked as a geologist in Environmental Analysis, and he worked in Solid and Hazardous Waste as an engineer. We each went about our new assignments with skill and vigor. When we would occasionally meet in the hallways, I would say, "Good Morning, Mister Nevius," and he would reply, "Good Afternoon, Mister Devious." We exchanged ideas, too, and theories, too.
