Mary C. Kyme 85, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, November 9, 2016.
Mary was born in Schenectady on July 6, 1931, a daughter to the late Philip A. and Mary Kelly Kyme.
A life long resident, Mary graduated from Nott Terrace High School and went on to complete her education as a Certified Dental Assistant Certified Dental Assistant.
Mary worked for 17 years for Irwin Light, DDS in Schenectady prior to her mission work in Haiti.
She had traveled to Haiti as a volunteer with Catholic Medical Missions Board of New York City, for Dental Missionary work, working closely with Rev. John Breslin, Monte Ford Order, NYC, for a total of 8 years. Upon returning, she was hired as a Dental Assistant at the dental practice of Robert DeLuke Dental Office on Nott St., Schenectady.
Mary was a member of the former Our Lady of Fatima Church, Schenectady. She was a caregiver for her sister Margaret.
Mary is survived by her loving sister, Margaret E. Kyme; sister in-law Marilyn Kyme; 13 nieces and nephews and their families. She leaves behind many friends and co-workers at the DeLuke Dental office and her best friend Patti Bogart.
Prredeceased by her parents and her brothers, Thomas, Philip, Joseph, sister in-laws, Martha and Rita.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11 AM at The Church of St. Clare's, 1947 Central Ave., Colonie, NY 12205. Inurnment will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. There will be no calling hours.
