Obituary of Jeffery Scott Hayden
Please share a memory of Jeffery to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jeff Hayden 49, passed away Sunday February 19, 2017 due to a short illness surrounded by the love of his closest family and friends. He was a beloved son, brother and friend who will be missed by all. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, huge heart and infectious laugh.
Jeff loved cooking, Nascar and the Miami Dolphins. What he loved most of all was his family. He will always be loved and remembered by his parents, Ronald and Caroline Hayden; his sister Tracey; his brothers RJ and wife Carol, Kevin and partner Jen; and his much loved nieces and nephews; Jason, Brandi, David, Peter, Samantha, Kelli and Savannah; as well as his large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins. To his good friend Percy, Jeff would say, "remember to keep the light on".
Any sendoff for Jeff would not be complete without mentioning his best friend and partner-in-crime Sharon with whom he laughed his butt off and shared many adventures, including their weekly trips to Wally World and yearly camping trip to Gilbert Lake and the Dover Nascar race.
While we will miss Jeff dearly, it is comforting to know that his spirit is reunited with his beloved German Shepherd, Dakota.
The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at NYOH, Ellis Hospital and Hospice who helped care for Jeff over the past months. It was much appreciated.
Everyone who remembers Jeff is asked to celebrate Jeff's life by raising a beer (preferably Michelob Light) in his memory.
Visitation will be held at Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St., (at McClellan St.), Schenectady on Friday February 24th from 10 AM to Noon.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the American Cancer Society or Community Hospice.
