I am sure that Mr. Petrie loved life. Our loving life was given to us by our creator, Jehovah God. He created us with a desire to live forever. Many wonder why do we get sick?

Sincere sympathy to the family. He meant so much to those of us who were privileged to know him as a friend in the motorcycle community, and I am so happy the friendship went beyond that. He would tell stories of his family, & always ask about ours. The passion he had for motorcyclists rights is a fight that will be continued, but his shoes will certainly be tough to fill. I hope you are comforted in knowing the passion he possessed throughout his life touched many lives, and all for the better. He will never be forgotten.

My condolence to the family.I first met Denis at a CATRA meeting which was held at that time at the Egales Club in Schenectady. He introduced me as the first Blad Eagle in the city. Our friendship continued through countless motorcycle races. However, through time, and many moves, we did not see each other but our friendship was always there.I will always remember Denis and retell our many stories to anyone who will lisen.I wish I never had to write this about my friend. He will be with me forever.

Please accept our deepest sympathy. I met Denis many years ago, early in his career as an AMA congressman. He also spent time with us in his early days of dirt riding at Thunder Ridge and on the Edmonds farm. Not only was "he always there" to help, he had a way of always being heard. I sincerely hope that the pearls of wisdom he left with many of us will be used faithfully to quide us through the rest of life's trials and tribulations. I was very blessed to have known and worked with Denis for the past 30 plus years. I will miss him dearly. Go with God Denis and keep a watchful eye over us until we meet again.
