Anne Oliver Webb, age 78, passed away peacefully on March 5th, 2014 at home in Schenectady with her family at her side.
Anne was born on November 28, 1935 in Boston, Ma. She graduated from Mission High School as Valedictorian and received her B.S. with honors from Emmanuel College in Boston.
She is survived by her most cherished husband Paul R. Webb, II, whom she married August 1995; by her brother, James Arsnow and by four loving children and their families; David M. Oliver (Ellen), Byfield Ma; James W Oliver (Sylvia), Simsbury Ct.; Barbara Forth (Mark), Laguna Hills, Ca.; Carol Oliver, Salem, Ma.; by her grandchildren Laura, William, Michael, Grace, Margaret, Elizabeth and Andrew; and by Paul's children and grandchildren. Anne was predeceased by her former husband, David W. Oliver, Ph.D. and by her brother William Arsnow.
Anne was active in Church and Civic organizations. A founding member of the Board of Ladies of Charity, Eucharistic Minister at St. Helen's Church; CCD Teacher at both St. John the Baptist and St Helen's Church, Founding member of Niskayuna Recreation Program; and, Chair of the Schenectady Volunteer Bureau. Anne was office manager in the Neurology Laboratory at Ellis Hospital for seventeen years.
Anne's sense of humor was only surpassed by the love she displayed to everyone with whom she interacted. She loved to dance, was a talented musician who played the accordion professionally in the Boston area night clubs, and a devoted mother and grandmother.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Church on Rosa Road in Niskayuna on Monday, March 10th at 9:00 AM. Calling hours will on Sunday, March 9th from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Jones Funeral Home, Inc. on 1503 Union Street, Schenectady, New York.
Entombment will be at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery Mausoleum, Niskayuna.
