Hello, I am so sorry for your loss. I was going through an old address book I found while going through "stuff". I thought I would look Bob up and try to get in touch and I'm sorry I didn't find it sooner. We had some enjoyable times together and I'm sorry I lost touch. I lived in VA for 30 years and am now retired in RI. I never made it to the Vineyard although Bob had invited me many times. Please accept my condolences. Mary Jane Condon Bohlen

My memories of Bob are from long ago. I can't say that I ever knew him as a friend--I was too young, for one thing, and he was mainly away in the Navy or art school. When he was home, he was a fleeting friendly presence when I was over visiting with Bill down in our clubhouse. I still remember his way of saying, "Oh, WILL-iam!" Anyway, it would have been nice to have kept in touch, but paths diverge. It sounds like he led a good life. I'm sorry he was taken so soon.

I worked with Bob at WMHT. He was a dedicated volunteer. Bob was a kind and caring person. He had many stories to share about his time on Martha's Vineyard. He will be missed by many. My sympathy to his family and friends.

I am very very saddened to learn of Bob's passing. I met Bob through a friend and he was so generous to share his MV home with me. I loved his stories and his laugh. These are memories I will cherish now, along with his letter so thick that he needed extra postage. That's Bob and I think he's probably started on organizing Heaven by now. He was a kind and good hearted man, gone much too soon. My deepest condolences to you. Diane Naydan Schenectady NY and Davis, CA

I was so sorry to learn of Bob's passing. I worked at WMHT when he was there, and he was a lovely man. Can't say enough good things about him. He would send me mail from MA and I would smile every time I received it.

I worked at WMHT during most of Bob's tenure there as a volunteer and have never encountered such a devoted and dependable person as Bob. His dedication was beyond compare. I will always remember his willingness to pitch in and help and mostly, I will remember his laugh.
