Albany Frank Lawler, 94, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2023, at his home in Albany, NY. He was born April 12, 1929, in Schenectady, NY. The son of Frank and Emma Lawler. Frank married his love of his life Carmen Lawler, where they resided in Albany and spent their summers at their cottage on Hedges Lake. The “lake’ was their favorite spot to spend time together. Frank served in the US Navy, during the World War II. He was a city bus driver, where he met his wife Carmen, then he worked for the Watervliet Arsenal as a welder for years. After retiring from the Arsenal, he was bus driver for the Guilderland School District. Frank was known as Uncle Dick to so many. Uncle Dick enjoyed hunting, going to the shooting range, floating on the water on Hedges Lake and spending time with his friends and family. Frank was predeceased by his wife Carmen Lawler, his parents Frank & Emma Lawler, brothers Eddie Reilly, George Reilly, and Clifford Lawler. Frank is survived by his sister Evelyn Paden and many nieces and nephews. A Committal Service with Military Honors will be held for Frank and his wife Carmen at 1:00pm Monday July 10, 2023 at Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Town of Saratoga. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Frank's memory may be made to Hospice. Arrangements are by Jones Funeral Home, 2020 Central Avenue, Colonie.
