Obituary of Paul Michael Beaudoin

Please share a memory of Paul to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Schenectady- Paul M. Beaudoin, 67, of Schenectady passed away unexpectedly in his home on Friday, January 27. Born to the late Sherman and Marie (Hastings) Beaudoin in Haverhill, MA, Paul was one of six children. At age 17, he moved to Schenectady and resided there until his death. He previously worked for MTI, Price Chopper, and ROI, and had recently retired from Ardent Mills after a 20 plus year career. Paul was the epitome of a hard worker and instilled those same values in his daughters. He was a proud man and nothing made him happier than being with his family, whom he loved and cherished. In 2018 he became a Papa for the first time and again in 2021; he absolutely loved and adored his two grandbabies more than anything. He had enjoyed spending extra time with them after he retired. Paul also loved music from an early age and was able to share that passion with his daughter, with whom he had attended many Alice Cooper shows with over the years. He was an honest man and while sometimes stubborn, he had a huge heart and would do anything for those he loved. He always made sure to tell his family he loved them every time he saw or talked to them. He enjoyed talking and meeting new people wherever he went, literally. Whether it be the laundromat, the gas station, the toll booth, or the doctor’s office, he would always make a new friend. Once you talked to Paul, even if only for a few minutes, you would never forget him. We certainly will never forget you dad and will miss you so much and we love you, too! He was predeceased by his brother, Sherman Beaudoin. Paul is survived by his daughters, Jessica (Alfred) Blumenthal of CT and Jennifer (Matthew) Bartlett of Albany; his beloved grandchildren Ellery and Lawson Blumenthal; his ex-wife Elizabeth Beaudoin, who remained a huge part of his life and whom he always called his best friend; his siblings Henry (Mary Jane) Beaudoin, Laurie Perkins, Irene (Skippy) Foley and Matthew Beaudoin; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 3 from 4-7 pm at Jones Funeral Home at 2020 Central Ave. A memorial service will be held in Paul’s honor on Saturday, February 4 at 2pm at Awaken Church at 935 Balltown Rd.
